Can't help but be excited!

Feb 23 - watup brah

Okay Tomas Kaberle is gone,  though everyone was kind of expecting it no one was ready for it.  Probably 90% of Leafs Nation miss him already.  his presence on the powerplay has been replaced by Tim Brent.  Though Tim Brent is a great player, I don't think he was brought in to be a powerplay quarterback, much less to be on the powerplay at all.  I for one miss Kaberle.  His loyalty to the club is now as legendary as his will to NOT shoot the puck.  His sacrifice of the not trade clause to go to a clearly boring and inferior team will be remembered forever.  What comes back is Joe Colborne and Boston's first pick (and a conditional 2nd round pick).  Joe Colborne looks promising with 3 goals in 2 games.  He's 6'6 215 lbs and is a center that can score and pass.  Looking forward to him and Kadri making the big club.  Kadri will probably be moving to a wing unless he can play like Pavel Datsyuk *DROOL*.  Which reminds me Datsyuk also wears 13, though Kadri wouldn't dare wear 13 when playing for the Leafs because of a certain legendary player...

Feb 16 - what a pass
So we finally win against the Buffalo Sabres.  It took 3 years but we did it.  I was watching the game and when they went on the powerplay I got up to get some tea to drink I was thinking since we didn't score on a 5 on 3 powerplay chance then shorthanded has realistically little chance.  my back was turned away from the screen and I heard the commentators shouting and screaming "He scores!!!" I thought they had scored...I waited for the goal horn then I realized what I had missed...FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU I missed a FREAKING NICE GOAL by Joey Crabb.

Yeah, not going to find a win in there.

Now we're a few points out of the 8th and final playoff spot.  Though I know it'll be a battle just to get to that
spot it would be nice if we started to pull away from the rest of the pack and get to the 5th spot or the likes though it seems impossible it's not.  Seeing how we played the past few games it doesn't seem like it's an unreachable goal.  Tyler Bozak seems to have woken up and is starting to play much better, it's just a matter of time now for him to break out, again.  If you noticed Phil Kessel has been creating chances not only with this skill and speed but by playing more physical.  Remember the Islanders game? He fought off a check and then made a nifty pass to Nikolai Kulemin who capitalized.

Toning it down and out...

Feb 15th - ICE HOCKEY FTW!!!

I played ice hockey for second time in my life.  My first time was at a friends birthday party more than 10 years ago.  This time I played with some older guys, youth and kids at a local rink.  I haven't skated for a few years and had to take some time to get used to it.  Was actually pretty amazed by the young kids flying around.  The youth were obviously much better and pretty much took over most of the game.  There was this really large youth that had really took over the game but wasn't cocky at all and actually was pretty friendly with the young ones.  So my first experience was great!  I went with the guys to eat all-you-can-eat sushi at 168 Sushi.

Feb 14th - "verbeauty"
Alright here big day for the Leafs today.  Kris Versteeg to the Flyers for their 1st and 3rd rounders.  This'll clear almost a million on our cap for the rest of the season (source: CapGeek.com).  The picks don't look like they'll be too high, unless the Flyers bomb the rest of the season...then Nugent-Hopkins, Couturier, Landeskog will be within reach.  Even now it gives something more for Burke to play with.  Getting a a 1st rounder back is important for the scouts for the Leafs so they don't sit on their hands for one of the most important part of the draft.  Kulemin was drafted in the mid second round, Brad Boyes (*sigh*) was drafted in the late 1st round and Tuukka Rask (*sighs again*) was also drafted late first round.  So realistically these are the types of players that we have a chance of drafting! Which is pretty exciting considering that it's possible we'll trade some younger or farm team players (not Luke Schenn or Nazem Kadri for sure though) to get proven prime-aged or veteran players that will help our push for the playoffs.  I BELEAF!

Versteeg obviously shocked...hopefully he plays like how he looks in Philly \'o'/

FIRST!!!

Feb 10th - it's late meng.
Well here we are in the middle of the night posting for my new blog.  Though I have to say this is pretty interesting it also seems time consuming.  I have to figure out how to work this thing.  Well If you didn't read my profile then no worries you don't have to.  Now onto my blogging!

Feb 9th - was a good day.

Leafs made a trade Francois Beauchemin to Anaheim and Joffrey Lupul, Kevin Gardiner and a conditional 4th round pick to Toronto.  Pretty excited for the next game against New Jersey Devils as Lupul will ear #19 which is pretty rare here in Toronto.  Hopefully though Brian Burke will be able to get a playmaker at least to center our Kessel line.  I think people are panicking too much because Kessel hasn't scored in a few games but I believe that he is still young and will be able to become the player that everyone expected him to be.  GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!! This being said someone asked me why I'm such a Leafs fan even though my team isn't doing well.  I was always a Leafs fan because of a few factors: I was born and raised in Toronto, Mats Sundin is my inspirational hero, who in the right mind would cheer for the Habs or Sens?

Was watching anime recently.
I finished School Days on Sunday and lemme say when I finished I was like FFFFFFUUUU-lol-FFFFFFUUUU-lol-FFFFFUUUUU.  Laughing and going crazy at the same time was my reaction to the ending.  I wasn't expecting it to be a typical romance drama.  I was expecting it to be much darker.  Though it wasn't as dark as I had thought it was messed up still.  The main male character was a sociopath sex-addict.  I won't spoil anything so you'll have to watch it on your own.  I'd recommend this anime too but atm I'm just giving you a warning to those who are watching it.

I finished High School of the dead as well.  Art was very well done and the fan service was well fan service (and there was plenty of it, some times they went a bit overboard).  I enjoyed the story a bit, it was interesting how things progressed and the characters were all fun to watch.  I'd recommend this anime to those who like fan-service and are a bit older, not necessarily more mature though :3.  Here's some pics hehe:

if you watch the anime you'll find out why she is wearing the apron with like nothing else on...Busujima Saeko *drool*

yeah that's right...btw this is my fav char from this anime...crazy, skilled and...well...ya know...she has...purple hair!

Well hopefully that wasn't too much for a first post cheers,
